There are 4 options on the screen:
-
Take a test
-
Practice
-

-
Level
If students choose option 1 - Take a test, students have to take a full hour long test (about 22 minutes for Listening and 38 minutes for Reading) or students may take a shorter, twelve minutes mini test (about 4 minutes for Listening and 8 minutes for Reading). Students may choose to take either the Listening section or the Reading section of these tests or both. These sample tests are created out of a large list of one thousand questions. It is unlike that two tests will ever be the same since they are created each at random out the long list of sample questions.Students may check their scores for each part of the test in their study record or in the review screen, which will display thier records.
The option 2 - Practice allows students to focus on any one of the seven parts of the test. There is no time limit on the part of the test that student are practicing. While in the listening practice mode, students can get 2 kinds of help. The Repeat button will allow students to hear each listening questions as many times as they want. The SHOW TEXT question will allow students to see the text of the listening questions.
The option 3 - Review allow students to see their records
The option 4 - Level: Students level will automatically established by thier success with the program. As their test scores improve, they will climb higher up the mountain. They may challenge a level by "clicking" on the level button and clicking on the camp they hope to reach. If they attain that level they will be greeeted with a musical celebration when they finish the test. If they don't reach that camp they will fall to the camp their score allowed they to reach.
